Community Welfare

The college has a rich tradition of doing community service. Alongside students and volunteers from the areas of NSS, NCC and Social Work, a large majority of our students from other disciplines volunteer for community and social service. Our NSS units have adopted 5 villages surrounding Yamuna Nagar and they interact with the villages periodically to make them aware of relevant social and medical issues. They also collaborate with them to carry out welfare projects.

Among the highly commendable community services that the college organises  every year is the Blood Donation Camp. A record number of  634 units of blood were donated in session 2007-08.  Besides this our students keep donating blood on bed to bed basis through out the length and breadth of the year. The total number of units of blood donated during the session was close to 1000 units. The college has been honoured thrice by His Excellency, the Governor of  Haryana  for  making   blood  donation `a programme of the masses' in this District.
